TAI CHI DEEP MASSAGE TECHNIQUES
DEEP TISSUE
It is used to break down knots and relieve pressure points throughout the body. This massage is fascia focused and beneficial for athletes and those who sit for long periods of time. The goal is to melt away muscle tension and decrease muscle toxins in your body.
ANCIENT CHINESE TUI-NA
Tui Na has been practiced and studied for thousands of years in China. Tui Na is both a physical therapy and a form of energetic medicine to work along meridians (energy channels) throughout the body. The Tui Na practitioner taps into these energy points, using stretches, pressure points, and joint rotations to balance the body’s vital energy (Qi).
ACUPRESSURE
Acupressure is an alternative medicine technique similar in principle to acupuncture. It is based on the concept of life energy which flows through "meridians" in the body. In treatment, physical pressure is applied to acupuncture points along the meridian lines to clear blockages.
REFLEXOLOGY
Reflexology is the physical act of applying pressure to the feet, hands, and ears with specific thumb, finger and hand techniques. It is based on a system of zones and reflex areas that reflect an image of the body on the feet, hands, and ears. By using the thumb and fingers in a particular way to massage the relevant reflex points, pain and other symptoms in the corresponding area of the body can be alleviated.
